Superintendent George Arlotto and County Executive Steuart Pittman will be joined by leaders of the Joint Initiative to Eliminate the Opportunity Gap as they discuss the committee’s findings and hear from the public about ways to eradicate gaps between student groups at a special town hall on Monday, November 30, 2020.
The virtual event will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and will include an overview of the committee’s key recommendations as well as comments from up to 20 members of the public. It will be broadcast live on Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ television and YouTube channels.

Those wishing to offer public comment during the event may register here. Speakers will be allotted 2 minutes each. Those who wish to offer comment but who are unable to register may send comments of no more than 250 words to gapreport@aacps.org no later than December 7, 2020. Comments, which will be posted on AACPS’ Eliminating the Opportunity Gap website and provided to school system and Anne Arundel County officials, must contain the name and community of residence of the author.
