BOARD OF EDUCATION TO MEET IN CLOSED SESSION ON DECEMBER 21, 2020

The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County will meet via telephone conference call at 5 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020, for the intended purpose of voting to go into closed session, pursuant to Section 3-305(b) of the General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland and consistent with recent guidance from the Office of the Attorney General, to discuss the development and implementation of emergency plans.

The public may listen to the open portion of the meeting, including the vote to go into closed session, by calling 605-468-8781 and entering access code 685333# followed by the pound/hashtag symbol.

The public may not listen to the closed session portion of the meeting.

Subsequent to the closed session, the Board will hold its previously scheduled public hearing on issues related to the impact of potential changes to school start and dismissal times on individuals, transportation, child care, school-related extracurricular activities and personal activities. There is no proposal or motion before the Board to change normal school start and dismissal times in the current school year.

The public hearing will begin at 6 p.m. and will be limited to 100 speakers who will be allotted two minutes each. Those wishing to speak must sign up through this link no later than 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2020.
