The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County will hold a virtual public hearing next week to garner community input on topics discussed at its December 14, 2020, workshop on school start and dismissal times.

The Board will hear from the public on issues related to the impact of potential changes to school start and dismissal times on individuals, transportation, child care, school-related extracurricular activities and personal activities. There is no proposal or motion before the Board to change normal school start and dismissal times in the current school year.

The virtual hearing will begin at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020, and will be limited to 100 speakers who will be allotted two minutes each. Those wishing to speak must sign up through this link no later than 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2020.

Those who wish to offer comment but who are unable to sign up may send comments in writing to the Board at boardoffice@aacps.org or to the Board of Education office at 2644 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.
