Gibson Consulting Group will present the findings of its performance audit of selected portions of Anne Arundel County Public Schools and of Board of Education operations to the Board at a public workshop on Wednesday, August 12. 2020.
The workshop will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be conducted virtually.
Gibson was retained by the Board to assess the efficiency and effectiveness
of selected AACPS areas and make recommendations for improvement. It examined Board governance and operations as well as school system areas of senior administration, senior academic staff, financial management, human resources, and technology.
No public testimony will be accepted at the workshop.
The workshop will be broadcast live on AACPS-TV, which can be found on Channel 96 on Comcast and Broadstripe, and Channel 36 on Verizon. BOARD ETHICS PANEL TO MEET ON AUGUST 10, 2020
The Board of Education Ethics Panel will meet at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2020, in the Board Room at the Parham Building, located at 2644 Riva Road in Annapolis.
The duties of the ethics panel include devising, receiving, and maintaining all ethics forms generated by school system regulations; providing advisory opinions on ethics matters; making determinations as to complaints filed by any person alleging violations of regulations; referring findings regarding complaints and other enforcement matters to the Board for action; and conducting an information program regarding the purposes and application of regulations.
