Corkran Middle School will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Saturday, April 27, with a 5K run and Spring Fair at the school, located at 7600 Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie.
The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the school with a 5K race, accompanied by a 1-mile Family Fun Run. There will be prizes for the top finishers in each age group. The festivities will continue after the race as the Corkran PTSA, staff and students host a Spring Fair on the grounds of the school. The fair will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include food, games, trivia questions about the school’s history, and memorabilia collected over the half-century in which the school has educated students.
