FAMILIES RECEIVE TIPS FOR SUPPORTING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AT FAMILY INVOLVEMENT CONFERENCE

Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ Office of School & Family Partnerships is sponsoring a Family Involvement Conference on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. The conference will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Church at Severn Run, located at 8187 Telegraph Road in Severn.

The theme of this spring’s conference is “The New IQ? Raising Outstanding Minds in Today’s Culture.” The conference will feature an interactive workshop featuring Shauna King of The Upside Down Organization during which participants will learn practical ways to develop “executive function” skills in their children and assist them with planning, goal setting, organizing, focusing, and more.

Continental breakfast will be provided. Schools Superintendent George Arlotto will join participants for breakfast and will bring greetings.
