Starting early on a warm, summer Sunday August morning, you could hear the faint hum of car engines in the distance.
Anticipation was growing from the question of, “what kind of cars will we see today?!” When the cars began to arrive, it was such a beautiful sight.
From the way the cars sparkled in the early morning sun, to the sweet hint of freshly brewed coffee floating in the air, you knew that the day was going to be special.
The variety of cars on display was something to marvel at. There were Corvettes, Porsches, Mustangs, Jaguars, “American Muscle” cars, and foreign luxury gems on display. The Education Foundation of Anne Arundel County Public Schools would like for all of our AACPS teachers to start the school year with a welcoming “Back to School” breakfast, luncheon, or other celebration. While many of our schools are able to host events &/or provide gifts for their faculties to welcome them back to the new school year, some schools and their parent organizations have limited resources for these types of activities.
The Education Foundation of AACPS would like to provide five (5) schools with a Back to School Teacher Appreciation celebration. Each school would receive $1,000 in funding for August. If your school is interested in applying for this funding, please complete this request by Monday, August 7th and your application will be considered for this year. If selected, you will be notified by August 11th and we will be able to provide you with the funding by August 18th.
Thank you to you and everyone in your school community who supports the students of our county!
