CHESAPEAKE REGIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STUDENT COUNCILS ELECTS 2024-25 OFFICERS

The Chesapeake Regional Association of Student Councils, the voice of student government in Anne Arundel County Public Schools, has announced the results of its election of officers for the 2024- 25 school year.

Michelle Fadele of Chesapeake High School was elected as president of the organization. Amanda Morataya of Chesapeake Science Point Public Charter School was elected vice president.

Other officers are:

  • Julien Halleman, Broadneck High School, Secretary of Legislation.
  • Suha Kim, Arundel High School, Secretary of Communications.
  • Maryam Mustafa, Annapolis High School, Secretary of Service.
  • Lillian Schimek, Severna Park Middle School, Middle School Coordinator
  • Jason Semanoff, Jr., Chesapeake Bay Middle School, Secretary of Education

CRASC is the representative organization of all students enrolled in AACPS’ secondary schools. Its purpose is to develop leadership skills, promote good sportsmanship, and initiate improvements and activities for the general good of AACPS students.

State law also recognizes CRASC as the governing body that annually selects the Student Member of the Board of Education (SMOB).
