BOARD TO HOLD WORKSHOPS ON NEW STRATEGIC PLAN, 2024-25 SCHOOL STAFFING ALLOCATIONS

The Board of Education has scheduled upcoming workshops to receive more information about two critical initiatives that will impact schools, employees, students, and families in the upcoming school year.

On Monday, May 13, 2024, the Board will get its first look at a draft of the new Strategic Plan on which Superintendent Mark Bedell, members of his staff, and a cadre of community members have been working since the fall. The plan, developed with the assistance of Insight Education Group, will guide the school system’s work over the next five years.

The Board is scheduled to adopt a new Strategic Plan at its May 15, 2024, meeting.

On Thursday, May 23, the Board will hold a workshop on staffing allocations for the 2024-25 school year. The workshop will cover shifts in school classroom staffing for the coming year.

Both workshops begin at 6 p.m. and will be held in the Board Room of the Parham Building, located at 2644 Riva Road in Annapolis. They are open to the public, but no public questions or testimony will be taken.
