For the third time in four years, Marley Middle School has earned the AACPS Kindness Cup, a proactive and positive bullying prevention initiative created to improve school climate and increase student engagement.
To bring awareness to anti-bullying practices, this year’s Kindness Cup Challenge encouraged students to produce public service announcements (PSAs) that promote being upstanding members of their school communities. Using facts and real-life scenarios in their videos, students depicted how important and impactful it can be to advocate for each other.
PSAs from Southern Middle School and Chesapeake Science Point Public Charter School won the second- and third-place awards, respectively, while the AACPS Virtual Academy received honorable mention.
