The entire community is invited to join the students, parents, educators, and community members of the North County Cluster for a free ‘STEMtastic’ event on Saturday, April 6, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Centre at Glen Burnie, located at 6711 Ritchie Highway.
A celebration of student accomplishments, the event will showcase how the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) program has enriched the academic lives of all students at all grade levels.
The event will feature student-led and teacher-supported projects and demonstrations that display the rich STEM curriculum. While the STEM magnet program is a program of choice offered at the high school level at North County and South River high schools, STEM curriculum is also delivered on the elementary and middle school levels to expose students to the vast technological needs of our society.
The STEM magnet program at North County High School serves students from the Arundel, Chesapeake, Glen Burnie, Meade, North County, Northeast, and Old Mill clusters.
