It’s pretty safe to say that if Anne Arundel County Public Schools asked students to vote for their 2016-2017 BFF, Mother Nature would win hands down.
With winter’s whimper forcing schools to close for just one day, the last day of school for most students will be Thursday, June 8, 2017. As detailed below, the last day of school for students at six schools will be Wednesday, June 7, 2017, to accommodate summer construction.
Parents and employees should also note the following key dates in place with the revised calendar:
- The last day ofschool for graduating seniors is Thursday, May 18,
- Schools will dismiss two hours early on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, and Thursday, June 8, 2017.
- The last day of classes at the Centers of Applied Technology will be Friday, June 2, 2017.
- The last day of class for half-day prekindergarten and ECI students will be Tuesday, June 6, 2017.
- The last day of class for full-day prekindergarten students will be Thursday, June 8, 2017.
- The last day of work for 191-day Unit I and Unit IV employees (classroom teachers, teaching assistants, technology support technicians, etc.) is Friday, June 9, 2017.
Any additional days needed for inclement weather closings would alter the last day of school accordingly.
An updated calendar can be found on the AACPS website.
