SUPERINTENDENT GEORGE ARLOTTO’S STATEMENT ON BUDGET ACTIONS BY COUNTY EXECUTIVE AND COUNTY COUNCIL TODAY

Superintendent George Arlotto today released the following statement following the budget actions by the County Executive and County Council :

“This budget is a quantum leap forward for our children and our county, and absolute proof of what can happen when the spirit of collaboration and compromise is at the forefront of discussions between our school system, the County Executive, and the County Council. Today’s actions fund critically important compensation increases for our incredible employees, add all 100 sorely needed positions that we requested, allow us to provide Home and Hospital program instructors with their first pay raise in 15 years, and accelerate the design of improved facilities for schools across the county. I appreciate the hard work of the County Executive and County Council over the last month to enhance the work environment for our 10,000 employees and the quality of education we provide to 80,000 children every day.”
