The Board of Education’s next Community Outreach event of the school year will be held at the Fresh Start Church in Glen Burnie on Tuesday, May 10. The event, originally scheduled in February but postponed by inclement weather, will run from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the church, located at 506 Lincoln Drive in Glen Burnie.
Board Members will engage attendees in a roundtable discussion of key issues related to the school system, including topics regarding African-American students. The event is designed to allow parents and children who have questions about educational issues to get answers directly from Board members.
This will be the second outreach event hosted by the Board during the current school year. Similar events have been held in each of the last two school years, and others will be held later this year.
