In addition to the individual honors, Broadneck and North County high schools came home with the prestigious Performance and Professionalism Awards. The award is given to the two schools that are observed during master classes and tech rehearsal and cited as being the most professional in dress, behavior, attitude toward other dancers, cohesiveness of their Dance Company, and performance qualities.

“The caliber of our dance companies and dance directors is second to none in Maryland, and I am so proud of all that they accomplished at the Showcase,” AACPS Dance Consultant Judi Fey said. “The Performance and Professionalism awards are especially exciting, because they indicate excellence both on and off the dance floor.”
