The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Local 1693, have reached a tentative agreement on a contract for Fiscal Year 2016. The agreement stipulates terms of employment for custodians, maintenance personnel, and other employees represented by AFSCME, and runs through June 30, 2016.
AFSCME members ratified the agreement on November 1. The Board of Education will vote on approval of the agreement at its November 4 meeting. Terms of the agreement will be disclosed at that time.
