On June 25 in Reston, VA., members of the Apex Commercial Band (ACB) were invited to perform at the National Association for Music Education Leadership Assembly.
The conference was a convening of national music education leaders, Americans for the Arts CEO Nolen Bivens and NAMM Foundation Executive Director Mary Luehrsen were contributors for the NAfME panel discussion on Arts Education and the Creative Economy: Advocating for Impact. The ACB performance was the featured performance at the end of the day.
The students who performed are members of ACB as part of the AACPS Apex Arts Magnet Program. They performed an Unplugged acoustic set of new and previously performed music.
