Congratulations on being nominated as the 2023-2024 Anne Arundel County Teacher of the Year from your school! This annual award recognizes educators who exemplify all that a student, parent, and administrators would want to see in a teacher. Submitting Your Application
Please use the form below to submit your Anne Arundel County Teacher of the Year application on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
Should you be nominated for this award, it’s important to note that you must:
- Have completed five years of teaching in AACPS
- Remain as a teacher during your year of tenure as AACPS Teacher of the Year (2024-2025)
Your application will be combined with your Principal’s Recommendation and shared with the Teacher of the Year Review Committee. You and your principal will receive automatic emails confirming that your application has been submitted.
Application Checklist

- Nominee & School Contact Information
- Description of the Philosophy of Teaching (325 words max)
- Professional Resume (resume must be kept to two pages)
Please note that you will not be able to save your progress before you submit your application. We strongly recommended writing your Philosophy of Teaching in a Word document and then copying the text into this form.
