Real People. Real Stories: The Faces of AACPS

What is the Faces of AACPS?

Stories are one of the most powerful tools we have for building relationships and connecting with each other. When we share our experience, we help others understand who we are and what we value. In AACPS, these experiences often celebrate opportunities our students, families, and staff have at their schools and recognize the teachers, colleagues, and community partners who make those opportunities possible.

The Faces of AACPS is an online, storytelling platform that gives our AACPS community the space to share positive experiences. From writing a quick note to thank a teacher to sharing a life-changing experience in high school, any experience can become a story and every story is worth sharing.

Celebrating Differences, Adapting to Change, and Finding Success

Welcome to Camp Kramer! We are a family that starts each day with hugs, high fives, and a bonfire (community circle).

Advocating for Students

One of the most fundamental roles of an educator is that of an advocate.

Teaching Student’s that Kindness Matters

I believe all students can learn within an environment where kindness matters and they feel safe to take risks.

Raising Teacher Expectations and Empathy

I believe that every student should be challenged through the use of differentiated instruction, high teacher expectations and empathy.

Building Supportive Relationships with Students

I believe building relationships with my students is the most crucial part of the job.

Providing Students the Unlimited Ability to Succeed

My philosophy of education is that all children have the unlimited ability to succeed.
