Save the Date for a 2016-2017 EdCamp!
Are you ready to take charge of your own professional learning? Become an “EdCamper” at one of our 2016-2017 EdCamp opportunities. In EdCamp, everyone is a learner and a leader. Anyone can be a presenter or a facilitator. Participants are encouraged to join and lead sessions that meet their unique needs as educators. The “law of two feet” applies–participants are encouraged to move around and join conversations about what matters most to them.
EdCamp AACPS will host four EdCamp opportunities for educators this school year:

New Teacher Onboarding Kickoff Starts the Year Off Right!
Nearly 500 new educators joined their new AACPS family members at the kickoff for New Teacher Onboarding. Hosted by the AACPS Right Start New Teacher Development and Support program, new educators were welcomed by Superintendent, Dr. Arlotto, BOE President, Mrs. Korbelak, Deputy Superintendent Dr. McMahon, EASA Executive Director, Mr. Alston, and TAAAC President, Mr. Benfer.
Teachers spent three days engaged in Getting Started Sessions, Curriculum Content and Program sessions, and a New Teacher Fair. New AACPS educators will be guided and supported by 47 Right Start Advisors.
