Maryland Humanities

Air Force Association

Description: The Air Force Association requests applications for the following:

• AFA Educator Grants — the program supports projects that significantly influence student learning and supports the association’s mission.

• Grants for Civil Air Patrol Units — funding to support Civil Air Patrol units to advance aerospace education and STEM initiatives for
cadets and in outreach initiatives. Grants must be used for aerospace/STEM education-related items/activities such as books, CDs, equipment, or aerospace-oriented field trips, projects, programs, and events for the cadets.

• Grants for JROTC Units — funds to JROTC units to advance aerospace education in the classroom. Funds may be used for any aerospace education-related activity, from purchasing textbooks or videotapes to going on a field trip to an aerospace museum, Air Force base, or another aerospace facility.

Deadline: Educators grants accepted from Sept. 1 through Dec. 15. CAP grant deadlines are June 30 and Dec. 31, and JROTC grant deadlines are Oct. 10 and Feb. 10.

Funds: Educators grants up to $500 awards, CAP up to $250 awards, and JROTC up to $250 awards.
