- Schools that are eligible for or receiving Title I funding
- Out-of-School-time Programs
- Faith-based Organizations
- Shelters
- Clinics
- Head Start Programs
- USDA Food and Nutrition Programs
- Federally Qualified Health Centers
- Title VII recipients
- Programs primarily serving children with disabilities
Applicants must serve children of whom at least 70 percent are from low-income families.
Description: The purpose of this program is to raise the quality of education for children by making sure they have access to the resources they need to be successful in school and in life. To support this goal, organizations that serve children in need may register for the First Book National Book Bank, which is an online resource that offers hundreds of new, high-quality books and educational resources for children age 0 to 18. Once registered, organizations will be able to receive materials free of charge.
