On March 12, 2025, the AACPS STEM Department celebrated graduating seniors at the Lindale Middle School Auditorium with the STEM Student of Excellence Awards.
Students from all 19 high schools in AACPS were represented, and those students were given the opportunity to present a teacher of their choice with the STEM Teacher of Excellence Award.
The keynote address was given by AACPS and STEM alumna Briah Barksdale. Ms. Barksdale is a 2022 UMBC graduate Meyerhoff Scholar, a 2024 UPenn graduate PREP Scholar and currently a 2027 MD-PhD Candidate at the University of Wisconsin.
