On April 3, 2024, the AACPS STEM Department celebrated graduating seniors at the Lindale Middle School Auditorium with the STEM Student of Excellence Awards.
Students from all 18 high schools in AACPS were represented, and those students were given the opportunity to present a teacher of their choice with the STEM Teacher of Excellence Award.
The keynote address was given by AACPS and STEM alumna Abigail Ward. Ms. Ward is a 2024 graduate of the US Naval Academy and a Rhodes Scholar and Stamps Scholar.
The awardees and guests were treated to musical selections by the South River High School String Ensemble, under the direction of Mr. Jerry Cavanaugh.
