Knowing the demands of modern education, it is important that we recognize and provide supports in ways that recognize and show how we value the multiple layers of society.
The R-City Project, a partnership between AACPS, the University of Virginia, and Johns Hopkins University, has taken on the task to help improve relationships in education. One of the primary goals is to improve teacher and student knowledge, attitudes, and behavior to promote equity and inclusion in classrooms. By starting there we can build relationships to move towards the remaining goals that will provide educational environments where the mentality will be, “success can be achieved regardless of the situations presented.” This episode provides insight on the project, it’s implementation, and it’s goals.
