The Education Foundation of Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) is proud to announce the Teach 4 Anne Arundel Scholarship (T4AA), a four-year scholarship program intended for AACPS graduating high school seniors who become enrolled in a teacher preparation college program that qualifies them to obtain teaching certification upon graduation.

· Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) Graduating Seniors who intend to pursue a college degree, obtain a Maryland teaching certification, and return to AACPS to teach.
· AACPS Graduating Seniors who have an excellent attendance record in high school and have at least a 2.5 GPA (unweighted). · Teach 4 Anne Arundel (T4AA) applicants must be accepted to a degree producing college or university in Maryland where education courses are offered, including Anne Arundel Community College (AACC). Only one application will be considered per student. |

· T4AA recipients must attend a degree producing college or university in Maryland where education courses are offered, including AACC, and agree to participate in paid AACPS work experiences throughout their college experience. T4AA recipients must apply as a Temporary AACPS employee here.
· T4AA recipients will initially receive a $5,000 scholarship, paid directly to the student, to assist with college expenses. · At the end of each college semester, the T4AA recipients are required to send an official copy of their transcript to the Executive Director of the Education Foundation of Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS). A 2.5 minimum GPA is required with a 2.8 GPA in courses related to education and teaching. · Following the T4AA recipients’ first year of college, they will be required to work in one of the many AACPS summer camp programs as a paid staff member for approximately 4 – 6 weeks. A copy of the satisfactory performance review from the Summer Camp position must be forwarded to the Executive Director of the Education Foundation of AACPS. |

· Upon successful completion of their first year of college and the summer camp work experience, the T4AA recipients will receive an additional $5,000 for their second year of college.
· The T4AA recipients are required to send an official copy of their transcript to the Executive Director of the Education Foundation of AACPS. A 2.5 minimum GPA is required with a 2.8 GPA in courses related to education and teaching. · Following the T4AA recipients’ second (sophomore) year of college, they will be required to work in either one of the AACPS summer camp programs or in one of the AACPS summer school programs. |

· After successfully completing their second year of college and the summer work experience, T4AA recipients will receive the third installment of $5,000 for their college expenses.
· During the T4AA recipients’ third (junior) year of college, they are encouraged to apply for and accept substitute teaching positions during school breaks. · In the summer between the T4AA recipients’ third & fourth (senior) year of college, they will serve as a paid Teaching Assistant in one of AACPS’ summer schools. During this experience, they will have the opportunity to co-teach classes. A copy of the satisfactory performance review from the Summer Camp position must be forwarded to the Executive Director of the Education Foundation of AACPS. |

· To receive the fourth & final $5,000 installment, T4AA recipients with a GPA of 2.8 or higher must be offered and accept a teaching position with Anne Arundel County Public Schools. A signed contract or offer letter must be presented to the Executive Director of the Education Foundation of AACPS.
· If a T4AA recipient does not accept a teaching position with Anne Arundel County Public Schools within one year of graduating college, then the final $5,000 installment will be forfeited. |
