My journey with AACPS began as the parent of a Special Education student at Central Special. I was guided to AA County vs Virginia when we moved here from southern California mainly due to the Special Education services. It has always been a choice I am happy with. I began serving as an interpreter in Special Education as it has been and always will be my first love. I quickly learned that I was surrounded by professionals who chose their field due to a love of kids and a desire to help. Those staff people influenced my choice to go beyond an hourly interpreter to becoming a Bilingual Facilitator. Every day working with parents who are in search of a better future for their children allows me to be thankful and at the same time have a purpose. I truly love my job!
