Lucky to Have Ms. Maury

My son started Kindergarten at Millersville Elementary this year and absolutely adores his teacher Ms Maury! At the beginning of the year he was a little behind with reading, but she quickly got him caught up and excited to read books! She even called me personally one evening to tell me how proud she was of him. One day my son came home crying because the book he’d checked out from the library, which he thought was about cute little bunny rabbits that he was going to use for a school project, ended up being a book about hunting rabbits! He was mortified to see the pictures of deceased bunnies in the book. I emailed Ms Maury and the next day she personally escorted him to the library to return the rabbit hunting book and show him where he could find books appropriate for his reading level and interests. She consistently goes above & beyond for her students, providing such a positive first-school-experience for our little ones, and we couldn’t be more lucky to have her!!
