Making a Difference with My Park Family

I am an AACPS: Behavior Assistant/Learning Lab Instructor, Park Elementary School

This school is like a family–the students, the employees, and the community—it’s what keeps me here and it’s the reason that I want this to be the school I retire from. I love my Park family so much (my friends and family hear me say that all the time!). Not only do we work together to make a difference every day, but we’ve built relationships outside of work.

I know there are tons of schools and there are lots of employees in AACPS, but I don’t think many other schools have as many employees have been here their full careers—some even as students. My own daughter, Carly, went to school here and now works as a TSA and registrar at the school.

Because of the challenges that we know are in the community, we feel a greater need to be here and we know that we are making a difference every day. Ms. Blondell goes above and beyond every day, not just for our students, but for our families. Her being our leader makes me want to come to work every day.
