I am an AACPS: Parent, Point Pleasant Elementary School

My daughter has been apart of the Anne Arundel County School System since Kindergarten. She is now in 5th grade at Point Pleasant Elementary School.  Growing up in Baltimore City, my parents chose to send my sister and I through private school for elementary and middle schools.  Our college fund was depleted pretty quickly!  I always thought when I had a child, I would put them in private school because of the quality of education I received.

I moved to Anne Arundel County when my daughter was an infant.  I still thought that I wanted her to go to a private school but I decided I would try public school first.  The quality of education she has received is actually better than I could ever imagine!  All of her teachers are very dedicated to helping the children learn!  I was very surprised of the level of involvement I have in my daughter’s education.  Parent Connect is a wonderful tool!  I am on there about twice a week!  I love the fact that I can reach out to the teachers directly and how quickly they respond!

Point Pleasant has been a great school for my daughter.  Everyone from the teachers, to the office staff, Principal, assistant Principal and all the way to the custodial staff has always made me feel welcome!  It is definitely a family there and you can tell!  I am very fortunate that my daughter had the opportunity to attend Point Pleasant!  I just wanted to send a huge thank you to all of the teachers and staff!  Our children wouldn’t be who they are without you!
