CHESAPEAKE REGIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STUDENT COUNCILS ELECTS 2020-2021 OFFICERS

The Chesapeake Regional Association of Student Councils, the voice of student government in Anne Arundel County Public Schools, has announced the results of its election of officers for the 2020-2021 school year.

Old Mill High School senior Conor Curran was elected for a second term as president of the organization. Peter Stevenson, who is a senior at Meade High School, was elected Vice President.

Other officers are:

  • Darsana Alagarsamy, Chesapeake Science Point Public Charter School, Secretary of Communication
  • Mara Babb, Old Mill Middle School North, Middle School Coordinator
  • Caroline Finn, South River High School, Secretary of Service
  • Beckett Hummer, Meade High School, Secretary of Education
  • Olivia Le, Annapolis High School, Secretary of Legislation

CRASC is the representative organization of all students enrolled in AACPS’ secondary schools. Its purpose is to develop leadership skills, promote good sportsmanship, and initiate improvements and activities for the general good of AACPS students.

State law also recognizes CRASC as the governing body that annually selects the Student Member of the Board of Education (SMOB).
