The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County will take part in implicit bias training and discuss the process for evaluation of the Superintendent at a summer retreat scheduled for Saturday, July 28, 2018.
The retreat will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Maryland Hall, located at 801 Chase St. in Annapolis. It is open to the public, but no public comment or testimony will be taken.
The implicit bias training is similar to that being provided to staff members throughout Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
The Board’s discussion of the Superintendent evaluation will be conducted by the Maryland Association of Boards of Education. It will be process-oriented and not specific in any way to current Superintendent George Arlotto.
