FAMILY INVOLVEMENT CONFERENCE OFFERS TIPS FOR SUPPORTING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

Family Involvement Conference Logo 10-16-15The School and Family Partnerships Office is sponsoring a family involvement conference on Saturday, November 14, 2015. The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Anne Arundel Community College, 101 College Parkway, Arnold, MD.

The theme of this fall’s conference is “Engage, Empower, Educate: Families & Schools Together.” Superintendent of Schools Dr. George Arlotto will join participants for breakfast and will bring greetings. Aziz Abdur-Ra’oof, educational consultant, will deliver the keynote address.

Participants will be able to choose three one-hour workshops to attend from a variety of different topics, such as “Move, Move, Move: Engaging the Mind and Body,” Stress Busters Through the Ages: Help Kids Cope with Worries and Concerns,” “Using a Growth Mindset to Cultivate Your Child’s Potential,” and “BIG Kids Can Still be BIG Readers.” To view the registration flyer, including all workshop options, go to www.aacps.org/family and click on Current Events.
