The Board of Education will hold a retreat next week to discuss negotiations with employee bargaining units in Anne Arundel County Public Schools. The retreat will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, in Room 204 of the Student Union at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold.
As part of the retreat, the Board will engage in a roundtable discussion with representatives from its four employee bargaining units. The discussions will be general in nature and will not focus on any specific items of negotiation.
The retreat is open to the public, but no public testimony will be taken. The Board is also expected to vote to go into closed session for the final portion of the meeting as allowable under the Maryland Open Meetings Act.
