Does the principal need to sign the application?<\/div><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

Principals and Program Coordinators can type their name to meet the signature requirement for the application (this includes the “Principal’s Signature” box on page 4 of the Round\u00a01\u00a0application).<\/span><\/h4>\n

How do I create a single PDF?<\/div><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

Combine Files into One PDF<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The preferred way to create\u00a0your Teacher of the Year application package is to merge all of your files into one document. Merging your files should result in an application package that is easy to read and small enough to upload:<\/p>\n

  1. Make sure your cover letter and all sections of the Teacher of the Year application are complete.<\/li>\n
  2. Click here <\/a><\/span>to use a free, online PDF merger.<\/strong> (There are many free online tools available for merging PDF files).<\/li>\n
  3. Click “Browse” to select files from your computer.<\/li>\n
  4. Select files in the order that you want them displayed in the final PDF.\u00a0You should upload your cover letter first and then upload the completed application.<\/li>\n
  5. Click “Merge” once you have uploaded all pieces of the application. It may take a few moments for your files to be combined.<\/li>\n
  6. Download your the merged file.<\/li>\n
  7. Open the new file and confirm that all pages of the application are included and complete.<\/li>\n
  8. Rename the merged file with the format: LastName_FirstName_School_ToY17_pt1.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Scan Files into One Document<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    You can also create a single file by scanning all pieces of the application together.<\/p>\n

    1. Print your completed cover letter and the complete Teacher of the Year application.<\/li>\n
    2. Use a scanner to scan all pieces of the document into one file. If you need help using your school’s scanner, please contact your School Technician.<\/li>\n
    3. Double check that the new includes all completed pages of the application.<\/li>\n
    4. Open the new file and confirm that all pages of the application are included and complete.<\/li>\n
    5. Rename the scanned\u00a0file with the format: LastName_FirstName_School_ToY17_pt1.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
