{"id":7492,"date":"2016-03-01T12:14:07","date_gmt":"2016-03-01T16:14:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aacpsschools.org\/development\/?p=7492"},"modified":"2019-08-08T09:41:08","modified_gmt":"2019-08-08T13:41:08","slug":"dixon_m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aacpsschools.org\/development\/2016\/03\/01\/dixon_m\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;My third grade teacher is awesome&#8211;that&#8217;s saying a lot because I&#8217;ve had some great teachers in my almost four years of school.&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><em>A story of appreciation for Ms. Teresa Beilstein, from:<\/em><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Dixon,<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>an AACPS<strong>:<\/strong> Student, Grade 3, <em>South Shore ES, Annapolis ES<\/em><\/h3>\n<div class=\"fusion-one-third fusion-layout-column fusion-spacing-yes\" style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:20px;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\"><span class=\"fusion-imageframe imageframe-none imageframe-1 hover-type-none\"> <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/aacpsschools.org\/development\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/dixonmissb2-3-16.jpg\" class=\"img-responsive\"\/><\/span><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-two-third fusion-layout-column fusion-column-last fusion-spacing-yes\" style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:20px;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\"><p>My third grade teacher is awesome &#8211; that&#8217;s saying a lot because I&#8217;ve had some great teachers in my almost four years of school.\u00a0 We are only half way through the school year, but I have learned so much from her.\u00a0 Her name is Miss Beilstein at South Shore Elementary School, and I get so excited to see her every day because I know that I will have fun while I&#8217;m learning &#8211; except when she makes me do a lot of writing (every single day).\u00a0 I don&#8217;t really enjoy writing, but I just had to share how wonderful she is.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s known as the &#8220;Grammar Queen.\u201d\u00a0 I have become a better writer because she&#8217;s an expert at helping her students write well (see, I said \u2018well\u2019 instead of \u2018good\u2019).\u00a0 It may not be my favorite, but I am now confident at writing and using punctuation and parts of speech.\u00a0 Every week we have to write her a letter about almost anything we want to tell her.\u00a0 I like that she lets us express what&#8217;s going on in our lives.<\/p>\n<p>Miss B is super smart and she makes me feel super smart, too.\u00a0 We get to invent things in science all of the time.\u00a0 And my math skills &#8211; fractions, multiplication, division, word problems &#8211; have gotten so much better.<\/p>\n<p>She does all these amazing things and is also very kind.\u00a0 Our class motto is &#8220;We are family.&#8221;\u00a0 She makes sure that we treat each other with respect.\u00a0 She also respects us by listening to us when we have problems and helping us to solve them.\u00a0 She&#8217;s also kind of strict, but her niceness shines brighter than that.<\/p>\n<p>She is everything that I think a great teacher should be.<\/p>\n<p>Miss B is such a great teacher that she might have me liking to write by the end of the year (wink, wink).<\/p>\n<p>P.S.
