A grant is a sum of money given by an organization for a particular purpose. Across AACPS, grants help schools fund projects and ideas that fall beyond a school’s budget. We are here to help AACPS employees navigate the grants process and find the right grant to meet their needs.
School-Based Grants
School-based grants are less than $10,000, involve only one school, and do not include funding for technology, stipends, or transportation. These grants can be written and submitted by a teacher or school-based staff member with the principal’s approval.
Central Office Grants
Central Office grants fund larger projects over $10,000, often involve multiple schools, and may include funding for staff, transportation, and technology. These grants need to be approved by the AACPS Budget & Finance department and the Superintendent of Schools before they can be submitted.
