I am an AACPS: Parent | Volunteer |Community Member Nantucket Elementary School
In the three years my son has been at Nantucket Elementary school, and in my role as the founder of Kindness Grows Here, a local non-profit that collaborates with schools, I have gotten to witness the level of dedication Mr. Stanzione has for his students and school on many occasions.
Whether it is attending community events such as a “Back to School Anti-bullying event,” to running the “Friday Club” that matches mentors from Arundel High School with students at Nantucket to foster qualities of good citizenship, to hosting HOPE talks, to playing on the teacher basketball team, or attending the Kindness Convention to support students receiving awards, on a Saturday morning during what should be time with his family, Mr. Stanzione epitomizes what it means to be a dedicated AACPS employee. He gives so generously of his time.
Additionally, it is clear Mr. Stanzione cares tremendously about the students at Nantucket. He can tell you that my son’s favorite basketball team is the Boston Celtics and he takes the time to “talk hoops” with my son if he sees him in the halls at school. I know that if my son ever felt that he needed to reach out to a counselor for some reason, that he would feel comfortable doing so because of who Mr. Stanzione is.
All of Nantucket is lucky to have Mr. Stanzione!
