I am an AACPS: Employee, Marley Middle School
I have been a teacher for 30 years and recently made a school change. I am in my second year teaching at Marley Middle. Being a “new” veteran teacher I was embraced by faculty and staff and I was made to feel welcome. I wanted to share my favorite story from my first year at Marley:
Student: Mrs. Osborne, are you famous?
Me: I like to think so but why do you ask?
Student: My grandpa and I were watching this show and you were in.
Me: What show?
Student: It was called Lucy.
Me: I Love Lucy?
Student: You were drinking that medicine, Just like the picture of you in the classroom. (Referring to a tin poster in my class from the old tv show depicting Lucy in a commercial from vitamearavegimin)
Me: What did you think of the show?
Student: It was good but I am glad you are in color now!
