SPECIAL EDUCATION CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE, SCHOOL SYSTEM HOSTING RESOURCE NIGHT OPEN HOUSE

The Anne Arundel Special Education Citizen Advisory Committee (SECAC) and Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ (AACPS) Division of Special Education are co-sponsoring an open house next week to allow parents to learn more about the resources and supports available to special education students throughout the county.

The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 7, at Severna Park Middle School, located at 450 Jumpers Hole Road in Severna Park. The event is free and open to the public.

Representatives from the AACPS Division of Special Education; AACPS Unified Sports; the Anne Arundel County Down Syndrome Connection; the Anne Arundel County Systems of Care Partnership for Children, Youth and Families; the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks; ARC of the Central Chesapeake; Parents Place of Maryland; and Partners for Success will be on hand. In addition, AACPS staff and parent volunteers will be on hand to talk to families and answer questions.
