BOARD OF EDUCATION APPROVES NEGOTIATED AGREEMENT WITH UNION REPRESENTING PRINCIPALS, ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS

The Board of Education today approved wage enhancements as a part of an agreement with the employee bargaining unit representing school principals and assistant principals.

The agreement with the Association of Educational Leaders (AEL) runs through June 30, 2019. It provides:

  • A 1 percent cost-of-living increase for all unit employees, retroactive to July 1, 2018.
  • A 0.7631 percent mid-year cost-of-living increase for all unit employees.

The Board approved an agreement for FY2019 with the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees on July 11. It has yet to approve agreements with either of its other two bargaining units.
