BOARD OF EDUCATION TO HOLD WORKSHOP ON DEVELOPMENT OF NEW STRATEGIC PLAN

The Board of Education will hold a public workshop on the development of the school system’s new Strategic Plan at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, in the Board Room at the Parham Building.

The workshop will be one in a series of events Anne Arundel County Public Schools is hosting to garner input into the new strategic plan to chart the course for the coming years. AACPS has already held one public forum, and others are scheduled for 6 p.m. on March 6 at Old Mill High School and March 7 at South River High School.

AACPS’ current strategic plan, which can be found here, was created in 2012, and expires this year. The plan defines the work of the school system and provides direction to guide future opportunities. It also aligns strategies with financial and human resources, and provides indicators to measure progress.

The workshop is open to the public but no testimony will be taken.
