14 CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS CLAIM WINS AT STATE SKILLSUSA COMPETITION

Fourteen AACPS career and technology students won their respective categories in the recent 42nd annual Maryland SkillsUSA State Skills Championships, an event designed to showcase the state’s best and brightest career and technology education (CTE) students. In addition, 16 county students placed second or third in their respective categories.

The first-place winners have all earned spots to compete in the 51st annual National Leadership and Skills Conference on June 22 through 26, 2015, in Louisville, Ky.

In addition to the student winners at the state competition, Bruce Lee, a CAD instructor at the Center of Applied Technology – South, was named Maryland Region 3 SkillsUSA Advisor of the Year.
