BOARD COMMUNITY OUTREACH EVENT RESCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 29, 2014

The Board of Education’s first Community Outreach event of the school year, postponed earlier this month because of concerns about weather and travel conditions on local roads, has been rescheduled for October 29 at the Waugh Chapel community center.

The event will allow parents and children who have questions about educational issues to get answers directly from the Board of Education. Board President Stacy Korbelak and Board Member Debbie Ritchie will be available to talk to anyone interested in school system issues from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

This will be the first outreach event hosted by the Board during the current school year. Five such events were held last year to enable county residents to better communicate with Board members.

The community center is located at 1326 Main Chapel Way in the Village at Waugh Chapel Shopping Center on Route 3 South in Gambrills. Questions will be addressed on a first-come, first-served basis.
