SOLLEY ES STUDENT WINS NATIONAL T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST

Solley Elementary School fourth-grade student Daniel Shevchenko today was announced as the winner of the national P.S. from Aéropostale T-shirt design contest.

Daniel is one of five grand prize winners of the “P.S. What Makes You Smile” contest, and kid retailer P.S. from Aéropostale is celebrating by awarding Daniel a $500 gift card and $5,000 for his school. Almost 50,000 kids from across the country showcased their artistic talents. The contest, which ran from October 1 through November 15, encouraged students from Grades 1 through 5 to pick up a brush, crayon, or even a pencil and design a t-shirt to show the world what makes them smile. A winner from each grade was selected. Daniel was the grand prize winner from among all of the fourth graders who entered nationally.

In addition to the gift cards, Daniel wins P.S. from Aéropostale T-shirts for all of his classmates and 50 T-shirts with his winning design for friends and family.

Aéropostale, Inc. is a primarily mall-based, specialty retailer of casual apparel and accessories, principally targeting 14- to 17-year-old young women and men through its Aéropostale stores and 4- to 12-year-old kids through its P.S. from Aéropostale stores.
