PARENT INVOLVEMENT CONFERENCE SET FOR SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2013

The Office of School and Family Partnerships is sponsoring a family involvement conference on Saturday, November 16, 2013. The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Anne Arundel Community College, 101 College Parkway, Arnold, MD.

The theme of this fall’s conference is “Family: The Core of Student Achievement.”  Interim Superintendent of Schools Mamie J. Perkins will join participants for breakfast and will bring greetings.  Rob Levit, Annapolis musician, artist and educator, will deliver the keynote address, Bringing Out the Best in Children.

Participants will be able to choose three one-hour workshops to attend from a variety of different topics, such as “A Parent’s Guide to the Common Core State Standards, Primary Brain Games, Supporting Your Child’s Creative Potential, ParentCONNECTxp, Time Management & Organization, and AP for All!”   In addition, two of the sessions will be offered in Spanish.  To view the registration flyer, including all workshop options click here .
