Teacher Diversity Recruitment Weekend & Job Fair
AACPS will host its 8th Annual Teacher Diversity Recruitment Weekend May 17-21, 2017. Teacher applicants selected to attend this multi day event will have an opportunity to tour AACPS schools, meet with senior leadership, and will be prioritized for screening interviews during our teacher recruitment job fair. The majority of the cost associated with this is event will be covered by AACPS. Nearly 70% of teachers selected to attend this exclusive event have been offered positions with our school system. Eligible applicants must fall into one of the following categories:
- Professionally certified educators from underrepresented racial/ethnic groups
- Professionally certified male educators (focusing in elementary or early childhood education)
- Educators professionally certified in critical shortage areas (i.e. Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, World & Classical Languages, Technology Education, Early Childhood Intervention, Functional Life Skills)
Please note that a professionally certified educator is someone who has or is eligible to obtain a regular teaching certificate in Maryland or another state.
Application Deadline – THE APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR THIS EVENT IS APRIL 18, 2017!A screening interview is required as part of the application process.
