In alignment with the 2018-2023 AACPS Strategic PlanĀ and our All Means All driving value, AACPS takes pride in its work to build relationships with partners who help our students grow to reach their potential.Ā The Partners in Education: Business & Community Partner AwardĀ recognizes partnerships that significantly support students and/or school communities with donations of time, resources, and opportunities.

The 21st Century Education Foundation (CEF) is accepting applications in three categories:

  • Business Partner with over 50 employees,
  • Business Partner with less than 50 employees, and
  • Service Organization/Small Non-Profit

  • Only one nomination per school or office will be accepted.
  • Each application must have the endorsement of the principal/coordinator/director, etc.
  • Please note that you will not be able toĀ save your progress before you submit your application.Ā WeĀ strongly recommended writingĀ your Recommendation and Partnership Information in a Word document and then copying the textĀ into this form.

Frequently Asked Questions

As we continue to strive in Anne Arundel County Public Schools to elevate all students and eliminate all gaps, our business and community partnerships are critical to the work being done in our schools.

Schools and/or AACPS offices may nominate any business or community organization who has contributed significant time, talent, and experience to make a positive difference in the school community. (Only one nomination per school/office will be accepted).

School-Based Nominations

The online Business & Community Partner nomination form may be submitted by any school employee. However, the application must include a recommendation written or approved by your school’s principal. Only one nomination from each school will be accepted.

All principals will be notified of a nomination submitted on behalf of their school.

Central/Satellite Office Nominations

Central/Satellite Office employees may submit a nominee on behalf of their office or department. The application must include a recommendation written or approved by the Senior Manager, Coordinator, Director, or Assistant Superintendent for your office/department. Only one nomination from each office/department will be accepted.

The Senior Manager, Coordinator, Director, or Assistant Superintendent mentioned in the applicationĀ will be notified of a nomination submitted on behalf of their department.

You will be asked to select one of the following “Nomination Categories for your Business & Community Partner honoree:

Business Partner (Over 50 Employees)

  • Corporate partners, family-owned businesses, and government agencies/offices with 50 or more paid employees.

Business Partner (Under 50 Employees)

  • Corporate partners, family-owned businesses, and government agencies/offices less than 50Ā paid employees.

Service Organization/Small Non-Profit

  • Service organizations, faith-based organizations, and small non-profit organizations that rely primarily on volunteers.

The 21st CEF will recognize all Business & Community Partner honorees on Tuesday November 29, 2022 at the Partners in Education Awards Reception.
AACPS and theĀ 21st CEF Ā is excited to celebrate the outstanding business and community partners that support our schools. Each nominee will receive the following:

  • Acknowledgement Plaque,
  • Recognition in an AACPS Press Release
  • Business & Community Partner of the Year nominees will receive two complimentary tickets to the Partners in Education Awards Reception, and
  • Recognition of the business partnership at the Partners in Education Networking Event in November 2022, and on AACPS social media and/or through the Faces of AACPS.
